We are enthusiastically dedicated to the delivery of effective healthcare, but we recognise that commercial channels are not the only route by which this goal is being realised. We therefore work with public sector organisations and non-governmental organisations to further this aim.
Our work in the public sector has used our extensive experience in publications, health economics and project management alongside our scientific expertise to address our clients’ needs in evidence synthesis, economic modelling, scientific writing and events management.

Conducting hospital visits including health economic analyses for a large British society’s Best Practice Service Awards.
Working with a hospital to develop an economic model for the evaluation of the cost-effectiveness of a new and more sensitive diagnostic process for a commonly underdiagnosed disease area.
Developing a customisable costing tool for inflammatory bowel disease for the Gastroenterology Department at Queen’s Hospital, Romford.
Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) covers a variety of gastrointestinal syndromes, including ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s Disease. Although IBD is controllable, recent treatment advances are expensive and the UK IBD Audit estimated that the cost of the disease to the NHS in 2010 was more than £1 billion. To allow gastroenterology units to investigate their costs on a per patient basis, we developed a customisable IBD costing tool for the Gastroenterology Department at Queen’s Hospital, Romford. There are plans for this cost-of-care model to be published and presented to clinical commissioning groups, and it is expected that it will be used beyond Queen’s Hospital to review the breakdown of costs for IBD and identify areas for savings.
