2020
I joined Costello Medical as an Analyst in May. This saw me becoming one of the first ever employees to join the newly-formed Boston office, which had only opened a few months prior.
In this role, I worked on projects that spanned our divisional offerings, focusing primarily on Market Access and Rare Diseases work. From the start, I have been heavily involved in projects relating to COVID-19 and ensuring key deliverables were rapidly completed during the initial stages of the pandemic. I also supported with recruitment efforts to help grow our new office further.
2021
I was promoted to Senior Analyst in October. My responsibilities expanded to include mentoring other members of the team and becoming more involved in project management. I have greatly enjoyed the opportunity to foster key relationships with clients and understand more about the industry at large. I was also heavily involved with research within the company, having worked on a poster on orphan drug pricing which was submitted to the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) international conference.
2022
One year later I was promoted again, this time into the Consultant role. This role is more focused on management of both project teams and client communication, as well as working on the strategic direction of a project.
My role now predominantly focuses on our Value & Access projects, which aim to demonstrate the value of a treatment to help ensure it is made available to patients who could benefit from them. Projects often include development of value stories and, in this new role, I have been working with clients to generate long-term evidence strategies, identifying limitations in the existing information base and suggesting evidence generation activities that can be undertaken.
2023
In March, I had the opportunity to attend the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) conference in San Antonio, Texas and the ISPOR international conference right here in Boston. This was a brilliant opportunity to network, engage with leaders in the field and learn about emerging trends in the US and global market access and health economics.
2024
I am currently completing a three-year MSc in Health Technology Assessment with the University of York, which has been funded by the company. I have enjoyed the course greatly and look forward to applying the learnings to the projects I now oversee.
