About the Role
Based in our Global Headquarters in Cambridge, UK, the IT Administrator will work closely with our internal IT function and MSP to provide first-class systems administration and support to colleagues.
The role is associated with a number of responsibilities, for which training is provided:
- General administration of Azure Active Directory, O365 portal, cloud storage solution
- Maintenance of internal systems (e.g. equipment management portals)
- Scheduling of tasks falling within the company IT calendar (penetration tests, disaster recovery simulations, etc.)
- Assisting the IT team in delivering a wide range of IT projects, conducting project appraisals and completing Change Control forms
- Creation and maintenance of IT-related documentation, including user guides and company policies
- Championing the company’s relationship with our MSP
- Assisting the IT and Facilities teams in maintaining the global asset database
- Assisting our MSP in the provision of on-site support
- Renewing and upgrading various software
- Providing training to end users on the company’s IT systems and equipment
- Occasional visits to London and Manchester offices when required
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 1 year of experience in a related IT role, which includes experience creating IT-related documentation
- CompTIA A+ or other relevant qualification(s) are desirable
- Understanding of the Office365 environment and willingness to learn other company systems
- Proficiency with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications. An aptitude in Adobe Acrobat, EndNote and MacOS would also be beneficial but not essential
- The ability to remain aware of all facets of a project and their progress throughout the project’s lifetime
- A “can do” approach and a strong customer focus at all times
- Exceptional organisational skills and flexibility to respond to changing deadlines
- Ability to plan and prioritise your own time and communicate this to others
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including an attention to detail and a confident, professional tone
- A good level of proficiency in written English and arithmetic
