IT Administrator

Singapore

We are currently recruiting for start dates throughout 2021, including September, and throughout 2022, including January, April, July and September. Additional start dates may also be available and you will be asked to state your availability on your application form.

About the Role

We have been heavily investing in our IT capabilities and are now looking for additional colleagues to help us manage our transition into the cloud, and support our environment, users and governance both globally and locally across our Singapore team. The role would benefit from individuals who are motivated and willing to take ownership of the direction of their career development. You will work closely with our experienced internal IT function, based in the UK, and MSP to provide first-class systems administration and some first-line support to colleagues in Singapore.

The role is associated with a number of responsibilities, for which training is provided. These include:

  • Contributing to local IT processes, including new starter onboarding, asset management, phone management, basic IT support, purchasing equipment and maintaining AV systems
  • Scheduling of tasks falling within the company IT calendar (disaster recovery simulations, UPS testing etc.)
  • Providing training to end users on the company’s IT systems and equipment
  • Working closely with our MSP to ensure the quality of service delivered to Singapore is of the highest standard
  • Assisting our MSP in the provision of on-site support
  • Contributing to global IT governance by monitoring compliance within the region
  • Assisting the IT team in delivering a wide range of IT projects, conducting project appraisals and completing Change Control forms
  • Creation and maintenance of IT-related documentation, including user guides and company policies
  • Renewing and upgrading various software
  • General administration of Azure Active Directory, O365 portal, cloud storage solution

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a related IT role, which may include systems administration, second line support, IT security or IT project delivery, combined with creating IT-related documentation
  • CompTIA, Microsoft, or other relevant qualification(s) are desirable
  • Understanding of the Office365 environment and willingness to learn other company systems
  • Proficiency with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications. An aptitude in Cloud Storage solutions, Adobe Acrobat, EndNote and MacOS would also be beneficial but not essential
  • The ability to remain aware of all facets of a project and their progress throughout the project’s lifetime
  • A ‘can do’ attitude, and a strong customer focus at all times
  • Familiarity working with or in a company which has previously achieved Cyber Essentials accreditation
  • Exceptional organisational skills and adaptable to changing deadlines
  • Ability to plan and prioritise your own time and communicate this to others
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; including an attention to detail and confident, professional tone
  • A good level of proficiency in written English and arithmetic
