Joined Costello Medical in September as a Scientific Intern in the Evidence Development division, working on systematic and pragmatic literature reviews, as well as my first pro-bono project with a local sight-loss charity.
Successfully interviewed for a permanent Analyst position, taking on more responsibility for client communication and day-to-day coordination of projects. I particularly enjoyed gaining a thorough understanding of the natural history and treatment landscape in a range of disease areas.
Promoted to Senior Analyst in October.
As Costello Medical began to win its first real-world evidence projects, I was excited to put my epidemiological background to use on the analysis of healthcare claims databases. This work led to an internal research project which saw me attend the European conference of the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) in Copenhagen to present our results.
My role expanded further and I began to take on more responsibility for the strategic management of literature reviews and real-world evidence projects, including developing proposals and pitching to new clients. It has been particularly rewarding to see how the successful delivery of our first database analyses has driven more work in this service offering.
I have also taken on additional internal responsibilities which involved recruitment for our new Epidemiologist position to increase the capability of the real-world evidence team.
