Since joining Costello Medical in September 2016, Sophie has gained experience across multiple disease areas, such as rheumatology and neurology, and has also developed an interest in drug delivery and surgical devices. Through her work with the Medical Affairs Division, she has worked on a variety of medical and market access deliverables, including global value dossiers, eLearning modules, and support for international advisory boards.
Sophie graduated from Durham University in 2015 with a first class degree in Biological Sciences, and subsequently completed a Masters in Integrated Immunology at the University of Oxford. During her studies, she performed research projects at the University of São Paulo in Brazil and the Jenner Institute in Oxford, focusing on the development of viral vectored vaccines for emerging pathogens. Sophie also developed an interest in public health whilst at Oxford and became involved with the student-led global health think tank, Polygeia, for which she was an editor for a project on the cost-effectiveness of the breast cancer screening programme.
