Sophie graduated from Durham University in 2015 with a first class degree in Biological Sciences. During her undergraduate studies, she was fortunate enough to obtain funding for a two month internship at the University of São Paulo in Brazil, with her project focusing on biophysical characterisation of parasite proteins.
Subsequently, Sophie completed a Masters in Integrated Immunology at the University of Oxford. Her final research project at The Jenner Institute involved developing and testing cellular immunogenicity of viral vectored vaccines for emerging pathogens. During her time at Oxford, Sophie also developed an interest in public health and became involved with the student-led global health think tank, Polygeia, for which she edited a policy paper on the cost-effectiveness of the breast cancer screening programme.
Sophie was delighted to join Costello Medical in September 2016 as a Cross-Divisional Analyst, and is looking forward to applying her skills initially to the Medical Affairs Division.
