Gengshi joined the Asia-Pacific Analyst Team in 2013, and has since then gained experience in a range of disease areas including hospital acquired infections, renal carcinoma, haemophilia and CNS diseases. In her role, she is particularly enjoying the variety of projects and internal activities that she is leading or contributing to, including satellite symposia, medical affairs materials, value dossiers, systematic literature reviews, cost-effectiveness publications, and recruitment activities in the Asia-Pacific region. As one of the first members of the Asia-Pacific Team and the Singapore office, Gengshi is delighted that her multicultural background, from having lived in China, Sweden and the UK, and her work experience in Taiwan, has provided her with insights to help support the growth of the team and expand the offerings to clients in the region.
The opportunity to pursue further studies in Health Economics via distance learning at the University of York is highly valued by Gengshi, and she is thrilled about applying her new skills to relevant projects.
Gengshi graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2013, achieving a first class honours BA and upper second class honours MSci, specialising in Biochemistry. As part of her degree, Gengshi conducted research projects on the optimisation of virtual screening methods for the early stages of drug discovery, and a novel molecular sensor for monitoring Parkinson’s disease progression. Previously, as an intern at Innovia Technology, an innovation and technology consultancy, Gengshi gained consulting experience by contributing to patent landscaping projects in the medical devices and healthcare products sectors.
