Eleanor graduated from the University of Bristol in 2013 with an upper second class degree in Cancer Biology and Immunology. Between her second and third year, she was awarded funding from Leukaemia & Lymphoma NI to carry out a 2-month project at Queen’s University Belfast investigating combinational therapies in the treatment of leukaemia. Motivated by a long-standing passion for translational research into early detection of cancer, Eleanor embarked on a PhD at the University of Cambridge investigating early detection of oesophageal adenocarcinoma. Specifically, the use of somatic chromosomal alterations in the progression to cancer from the pre-malignant lesion, Barrett’s oesophagus. She particularly enjoyed the patient-centred nature of her project, the many and varied opportunities to communicate her research at national and international conferences as well as getting involved with numerous public engagement events.
Eleanor joined Costello Medical in September 2017 as an Analyst in the Medical Affairs Division. She is excited to be part of such a dynamic team and looks forward to the opportunity of using her analytical and technical expertise in a variety of projects as part of the Medical Affairs team.
