Sophie Costello is co-founder and CEO of Costello Medical and has been providing scientific support to the healthcare sector for thirteen years.
In her role as CEO, Sophie provides strategic guidance and scientific direction to the company. She is responsible for overseeing the senior management team and ensuring that everyone at Costello Medical is working in line with the core values of exceptional scientific quality and commitment to outstanding customer service. Sophie has delivered dozens of highly successful projects including NICE and SMC submissions, value dossiers, scientific publications, advisory boards and a host of medical education materials. She feels privileged to work in this arena, which she finds challenging and rewarding in equal measure. Her commitment to the job has led to the development of a loyal and growing client base, many of whom she has worked with for over a decade. She is particularly driven by the opportunity to help the talented team at Costello Medical realise their potential.
Sophie holds a first class Masters degree in Chemistry from the University of Oxford and a Masters in Bioscience Enterprise from the University of Cambridge.

Richard Short is co-founder of Costello Medical and Director of Finance and Operations. He is responsible for the financial oversight of all group companies and strategic planning both in the UK and internationally. He feels privileged to work alongside so many talented individuals and enjoys seeking new ways to unlock their potential, the creative force behind Costello Medical’s rapidly expanding technical expertise and geographical reach.
After completing a Masters degree in Classics at the University of Oxford, Richard went on to Harvard University for a PhD in Roman history. In between, he gained experience working in asset management at Insight Investment (formerly Clerical Medical), where he served on the alternative investments team and specialised in venture capital, private equity and hedge funds.

As Scientific Director of Costello Medical, Jeanette oversees the running of all the scientific teams, ensuring that they are delivering top quality work and customer service to our clients. Throughout her 8 years at the company, Jeanette has worked across the full range of service offerings, giving her a valuable insight into the different challenges experienced by each team and allowing her to provide essential guidance to scientific team members across all areas. Jeanette’s role additionally encompasses overseeing the business development activities of Costello Medical and she took on the role of Head of the London Office when this opened in January 2017.
Jeanette founded the Health Technology Assessment and Health Economics division in January 2013 and built this team up from scratch to be one of the leading HTA providers in the UK, before she transitioned into the Scientific Director role in April 2016. She chose to specialise in health economics for some years as she believes that the evidence based decision making process for healthcare funding decisions that a health economic framework allows is essential. She continues to employ her specialist knowledge directly on projects in an advisory capacity.
Jeanette believes that the opportunity provided by Costello Medical to work within a dynamic, productive team at the forefront of their field is second to none. She enjoys getting involved in all aspects of the company and has particularly enjoyed mentoring the personal development of many talented individuals over the last few years.
Jeanette originally graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2009, achieving a first class honours BA and upper second class honours MSci in Natural Sciences, specialising in Biochemistry. She more recently graduated with a Masters in Health Economics from the University of York, achieving a distinction.

During her time at Costello Medical, Nia has experienced and managed a wide variety of projects across the diverse service offerings of the company, but in recent years has chosen to specialise in the delivery of medical affairs projects. Given her passion for supporting clients in the effective communication about the ‘science behind the product’, Nia formalised a dedicated Medical Affairs Division in 2014 to better draw-upon and promote the wealth of experience and knowledge held by the team in this field.
Nia is delighted to be part of such a motivated and professional team at Costello Medical, which has grown from strength to strength due to the company’s emphasis on recruiting high calibre individuals who are able to deliver successful projects with exceptional customer service. Looking ahead, Nia is excited to lead the Medical Affairs Division in creating new growth opportunities for the company in this area.
Nia graduated from the University of Oxford in 2009 with a first class honours BA in Biological Sciences, and since joining Costello Medical in 2010, achieved a distinction and best examination performance in the Postgraduate Diploma in Health Economics at the University of York.

In 2013, Craig led Costello Medical’s expansion into Asia-Pacific, an exciting development in the company’s international growth strategy. Since opening Costello Medical’s Singapore office in 2014, Craig has focused on recruiting and developing a high-calibre team with excellent scientific and language skills to support clients in the region.
Prior to his work in Singapore, Craig worked for 4 years in Costello Medical’s Cambridge office, working across all of Costello Medical’s service offerings. His experience ranges from supporting launch events for products in the Middle East, to managing the development of medical education events for 500+ attendees, to advising clients on activities to enhance market access across Asia-Pacific. His passion lies in working closely with clients to understand their strategic objectives and developing innovative, tailored solutions to help meet those goals.

Lucy has managed a wide variety of projects since joining Costello Medical, including HTA submissions, systematic literature reviews and value dossiers, in a broad range of disease areas. In her role as Head of the Multidisciplinary Division, Lucy is particularly excited about continuing to diversify and improve the service offerings at Costello Medical, ensuring that they continue to meet the high expectations of both clients and colleagues. Lucy also manages Costello Medical’s pro bono project activities, and coordinates the company’s expanding interest in public health through collaboration with public sector and charitable organisations. She really enjoys the variety of work and opportunities on offer at Costello Medical; Lucy is part of the recruitment team and has performed research for presentation at ISPOR alongside her client responsibilities.
Prior to joining Costello Medical, Lucy graduated from the University of Oxford in 2006 with an upper second class Masters degree in Chemistry. She then completed her DPhil studies in Clinical Medicine in 2010 and continued her research at the Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine in Oxford as a post-doctoral researcher. Lucy’s doctoral and post-doctoral research covered a variety of infectious diseases, focusing on the role of the essential nutrient iron, as well as global health issues such as anaemia and vaccines.

Within the Operations Division at Costello Medical, Laura is responsible for company-wide resource planning, recruitment, and internal and external training, to ensure that the company’s high quality standards and core values are maintained during the current period of rapid growth. Her position as Head of Finance and Operations also includes financial and HR responsibilities, as well as the provision of strategic input on the company’s development.
Since joining Costello Medical in 2010, Laura has gained experience leading a variety of client projects including HTA submissions, economic tools, systematic literature reviews and advisory boards. She enjoys combining her knowledge of Costello Medical’s service offerings with her organisational and managerial skills in her role as Head of Finance and Operations. Laura particularly relishes the opportunity to work within such a talented team, and to oversee new innovative initiatives that will contribute to the development of the company as a whole, and all individuals within it.
Laura is currently studying towards an MBA by distance learning at the Warwick Business School and looks forward to applying her gained knowledge to the benefit of Costello Medical. She previously graduated from the University of Cambridge with a first class honours MPhil in Computational Biology, and from the University of York with a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Economics with distinction.

Since joining Costello Medical, Saoirse has worked on a wide variety of projects across the company’s service offerings, including medical affairs, HTA and publications projects. However, her particular area of expertise is in the design and execution of systematic and targeted literature reviews, both in support of HTA submissions and on more epidemiological subjects. It is her passion for these types of project that led her to establish the Evidence Development Division at Costello Medical in 2015, supported by a talented team of experienced and like-minded individuals.
In her role leading the Evidence Development Division, Saoirse is keen to establish a reputation for delivering high quality projects that are conducted rigorously and efficiently with the client’s strategic objectives in mind. She particularly enjoys providing her clients with strategic advice on best practice in the area of literature reviewing. Next to her work in the Evidence Development Division, Saoirse is actively involved in recruitment, co-managing Costello Medical’s Internship Programme.
Saoirse has a first class honours degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, a Distinction in her Masters from the Royal Veterinary College, London, and a Postgraduate Certificate in “Health Economics for Health Care Professionals” from the University of York.

In his role as Head of HTA and Health Economics, Matt is responsible for the delivery of client projects in the field of Health Technology Assessment. Matt has experience in managing a variety of project types, including HTA submissions, health economic manuscripts and systematic reviews, and he relishes the technical and strategic challenges posed by these projects. In addition, Matt enjoys his responsibilities in training, recruitment and business development for the HTA Team.
Matt brings to the role an avid interest in the healthcare industry, as well as an ambition to constantly further his personal development, for instance by pursuing a distance learning Master’s degree in Health Economics at the University of York in 2015-2016. Prior to joining Costello Medical, Matt graduated with upper second class honours in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, specialising in immunology and microbiology.

During his time at Costello Medical, William has enjoyed the successful delivery of dozens of projects that span the entire breadth of the company’s service offerings, with a focus on health economics, market access and evidence development. The thing that has enthused him the most, however, is supporting the complex journey of medical device manufacturers in bringing ever more sophisticated and ingenious technologies to patients. It is this passion that led William to formalise a dedicated Medical Devices Division in 2017.
William is joined by a highly committed and talented team, and together, plans to further enhance the support that Costello Medical is able to provide to manufacturers of medical devices. William is dedicated to expanding the services that the company provides and is particularly keen on delivering integrated strategic support to help manufacturers throughout the lifecycle of their device.
After obtaining a first class honours degree in Biochemistry at the University of Cardiff, William completed a Masters degree in Medical Sciences and a PhD in neuroendocrinology at the University of Cambridge. During his doctoral training, William trained in high-throughput genomic technologies and advanced microsurgical techniques. William also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in “Health Economics for Health Care Professionals” from the University of York.

Within the Publications Division, Danielle is responsible for overseeing the delivery of medical writing projects, alongside leading the business development strategy for the division.
Since joining Costello Medical in April 2014, Danielle has managed a range of publication types, including manuscripts and congress publications. In addition, she has utilised her experience in medical communications to deliver successful global advisory boards and medical affairs projects, and, most recently, has been developing and expanding the company’s regulatory writing service offerings.
Danielle particularly enjoys providing excellent customer service to her clients and supporting the personal development of those she manages, and is looking forward to working with her colleagues to further develop the service offerings of the Publications Division.
Danielle graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2010 with an upper second class BA in Natural Sciences, specialising in cellular and developmental biology. After graduation, Danielle began her career in medical communications at a medical publishing company, where she worked on a wide variety of educational projects including working party guidelines, eLearning materials, digital advertising and educational events for healthcare professionals.

As a Consultant within the Medical Affairs division, Laura is involved in the planning, management and final delivery of a broad range of projects across several disease areas. Recently, her project work has included advisory boards, value dossiers, congress support and medical education events. Laura enjoys both the variety of the projects undertaken by Costello Medical and the diversity of her responsibilities. For instance, alongside her project management responsibilities, Laura is involved in company training, ensuring that Costello Medical’s reputation for high quality standards is maintained. In pursuing other opportunities within the company, Laura has also conducted original research on the implementation of NICE guidance in clinical practice, which she presented at ISPOR’s 18th Annual International Meeting held in New Orleans in 2013.
Laura was awarded a PhD in Molecular Microbiology from the University of Cambridge in 2012, where her research focused on the molecular mechanisms underpinning the infection and transmission profiles of the hospital pathogen Clostridium difficile. Prior to this, Laura received a first class honours degree from the University of Nottingham, specialising in infectious diseases.
Laura is looking forward to making a creative contribution as a Consultant within the growing and talented Medical Affairs Team at Costello Medical.

As a Consultant within the Evidence Development Division at Costello Medical, Sara has been involved with several literature review and strategic evidence searching projects including disease area reviews, competitor landscaping and gap analysis activities. Having also worked on systematic literature reviews, Sara is particularly interested in developing strategies for balancing the thoroughness of systematic reviews with the advantages of more targeted approaches, such as the capacity for swifter delivery of results.
Outside of the Evidence Development Division, Sara also has experience of preparing HTA submissions for NICE, SMC and NCPE, and in developing health economic manuscripts. Sara completed the Postgraduate Certificate in Health Economics for Health Care Professionals at the University of York in 2014.
Sara graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2012 with an upper second class degree in Biological Natural Sciences, specialising in Physiology, Development and Neuroscience.

George joined the Singapore office in 2014, bringing a wealth of experience from Costello Medical’s UK office where he worked for nearly two years prior. In Asia-Pacific, George enjoys translating his evidence development, health economics, market access and medical affairs skills to the region’s diverse healthcare environment. He has experience in a range of therapeutic areas, including immunology, neurology and medical devices.
George graduated from the University of Oxford with upper second class honours in Physiological Sciences, specialising in neuroscience and signalling in health and disease. After graduating, George worked as a Research Assistant in the laboratory of Dr Suresh Jesuthasan in Singapore, investigating the neural circuitry underlying fear and anxiety.

Since joining Costello Medical, Zoe has worked on a variety of projects in disease areas such as immunology, cancer and inflammatory bowel disease, and she specialises in the delivery of medical affairs services. Zoe has participated in expert panels and advisory boards and thoroughly enjoyed her responsibilities delivering medical materials for a large immunology conference. She is very excited to be a part of the Medical Affairs Division and is looking forward to seeing the division grow its client base and service offerings. Next to her client responsibilities, Zoe is involved in driving forward Costello Medical’s participation in the STEM Ambassadors programme, something she is passionate about. She was delighted to receive a ‘Best New Investigator’ award at the 2014 ISPOR Amsterdam Conference.
Zoe graduated with a first class degree in Biology from Imperial College London in 2012. Zoe then continued her studies at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, where she studied for a Masters degree in Medical Parasitology. Whilst at Costello Medical, Zoe has also completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Health Economics for Health Care Professionals from the University of York.

Within the Medical Affairs Division, Katie specialises in the development of training materials and the provision of advisory board and congress support. She has a broad range of experience in the therapy areas of immunology, neurology, mental health and infectious diseases. As a Consultant, Katie oversees a number of projects and enjoys working closely with her clients and colleagues to provide a comprehensive, high quality service to fully achieve the strategic objectives of the client. Katie is very interested in the various ways that industry and patients can work together to improve outcomes and is leading an internal initiative to explore how Costello Medical can expand its service offerings into this area.
Aside from her medical affairs work, Katie has been involved in various pro bono projects and leads the internal quality control initiative. Additionally, she enjoys learning about health economics: Katie has presented several pieces of original research at international conferences and has completed the Postgraduate Certificate in Health Economics for Health Care Professionals at the University of York.

Amy joined Costello Medical as a Public Health Intern in June 2014, and was delighted to transition to a permanent role following the successful completion of her internship. After gaining experience of a wide range of project types offered by the company, she developed a keen interest in systematic reviews and strategic evidence searches, and is very excited to be a founding member of the specialised Evidence Development Team. She particularly enjoys working on reviews of complex topics such as the adverse events associated with substance misuse or non-pharmaceutical interventions in mental health, and is committed to maintaining and developing Costello Medical’s reputation for producing the highest quality work in this area.
Alongside her project work for clients, Amy is actively involved in business development at Costello Medical, with a particular focus on expanding the company’s Public Health service offerings. She is also a member of the recruitment team, and has worked on developing Costello Medical’s Corporate Social Responsibility policy.
Prior to joining Costello Medical, Amy graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2012 with an upper second class MSci and BA in Natural Sciences, specialising in Biochemistry. After graduating she spent a year in Uganda as the manager of an educational Mobile Science Laboratory that she established, and she continues to lead the charity in her spare time.

As the Rare Diseases Lead at Costello Medical, Annabel leads a range of project types across our different service offerings, and has a specialist interest in orphan and ultra-orphan indications.
Annabel has experience in a wide-range of rare diseases, including paediatric conditions and genetic disorders, where she has led teams to successfully provide high-quality project support at various stages of clinical development. Annabel is passionate about the societal value of treatments for rare diseases and is dedicated to the delivery of pro bono support to a number of rare disease charities, including our long-term collaboration with the rare disease charity Findacure. Annabel plays an active role in academic discussions in this area, leading an issue panel at the 2016 European ISPOR conference focussed on off-label treatments in rare diseases. Annabel was also a panellist at DPharm Europe 2016, discussing Costello Medical’s ongoing collaborative work developing economic models focused on drug repurposing in rare diseases.
Prior to joining Costello Medical in April 2015, Annabel completed a PhD in Cell and Developmental Biology at the University of Cambridge, having previously received an upper second class BA in Natural Sciences at the same institution. During her PhD, Annabel used a combination of imaging, genetics and computer modelling to examine the role and relationship of four intracellular proteins that mediate the link between cells and the surrounding extracellular matrix. Following her PhD, Annabel volunteered with a non-governmental organisation in Cambodia, cementing her enthusiasm for the healthcare sector and charity work.

Since joining Costello Medical in the middle of 2015, Matt has gained experience in a number of disease areas, including rheumatology and haemophilia. He has worked on a variety of medical affairs and market access projects, such as medical education materials and events, and has provided scientific support for satellite symposia.
Matt graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2011 with a first class BA in Natural Sciences, specialising in Biochemistry. During this time, he conducted research on sleeping sickness as a summer research fellow at the Rockefeller University, as well as investigating the role of collagen in blood clotting as part of his final year dissertation. In 2015, Matt completed his PhD at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge, where his research focus was the molecular mechanism of bacterial cell division.
Matt particularly enjoys the scientific variety and client-oriented aspects of his role, and is excited to have the opportunity to continue to apply and develop his skills through undertaking a broad range of projects as part of the Costello Medical team.

As a Consultant in the HTA and Health Economics Division, Rose has led a variety of HTA and health economics projects across multiple disease areas, including NICE and SMC submissions, health economic manuscripts and systematic literature reviews. In order to further her expertise in this area, Rose is currently studying towards a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Economics from the University of York.
Rose holds a first class Masters degree in Pharmacy from the University of Nottingham. After completing her pharmacist training year at University College Hospital in London in 2013, Rose spent two years working as a hospital pharmacist at Changi General Hospital in Singapore. Here she gained experience in a variety of clinical specialties and completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Pharmacy by distance learning from Queen’s University Belfast.

As a cross-divisional Consultant, Rebecca enjoys the opportunity to work on a variety of project types, ranging from HTA submissions to medical affairs support, value dossiers, literature reviews and economic models. Through these projects she has gained experience in a number of disease areas, including epilepsy, oncology and the spondyloarthropathies. She is also involved in several internal initiatives, including recruitment, the organisation of induction training for new starters, and keeping the Costello Medical LinkedIn pages up-to-date.
During her time at Costello Medical, Rebecca has conducted several pieces of original research, one of which she was delighted to present at the 17th Annual European ISPOR Congress as an oral presentation. To pursue her interest in health economics further, in 2015 Rebecca completed the Postgraduate Certificate in Health Economics for Health Care Professionals (by distance learning) at the University of York.

As a Consultant in the Multidisciplinary Division, Catherine has experience in the management of a wide range of project types including value materials, congress support and HTA submissions, across a broad range of indications. Catherine particularly enjoys the scientific variety of her role, and is excited to continue to grow her skills and knowledge through the projects that she works on, as well as maintaining the excellent quality standards at Costello Medical. In addition to her client responsibilities, Catherine takes responsibility for organising internal training activities, to ensure that the wealth of expertise within Costello Medical is shared throughout the company.
Before joining Costello Medical, Catherine graduated from the University of Cambridge with an upper second class honours degree in Biological Natural Sciences, specialising in Pathology, and in 2016 she completed the Postgraduate Certificate in Health Economics for Health Care Professionals at the University of York.

Jenni graduated from the University of Warwick in 2011 with an upper second class honours degree in Biomedical Science. She then went on to study for a PhD in Biological Sciences with the same institution. Her research focused on the immunogenicity of the glycoprotein of rabies and the lyssaviruses, with the aim of developing a construct capable of pan-lyssavirus neutralisation.
She joined the company in April 2015 and has managed a wide range of different literature reviews; from targeted reviews in ophthalmological conditions to systematic literature reviews in oncology for the purpose of HTA submissions. In 2017 she also completed the Postgraduate Certificate in Health Economics for Health Care Professionals at the University of York.
Consultant Health Economist

As a Consultant Health Economist at Costello Medical, Natalie has experience in the development, critique and adaptation of health economic models spanning simple, Markov and DES models. She has managed and been the lead Health Economist on several modelling projects across a range of therapeutic areas from rare to common diseases, including chronic and infectious conditions, and medical devices. Natalie especially enjoys the technical challenges of her work, and applying her mathematical background within the medical sector.
Natalie graduated from the University of Oxford in 2010 with a first class Masters degree in Mathematics. She then went on to complete a DPhil in Applied Mathematics through the Systems Biology Doctoral Training Centre at the same university. Her doctoral research focused on modelling the fluid flow, chemical concentration and cell growth within hollow fibre membrane bioreactors, with applications to tissue engineering. This involved close collaboration with experimentalists working in the field of regenerative medicine. Since graduating, Natalie has gained further research and modelling experience through working in technology consultancy across a variety of industries, including within the medical sector.

Since joining Costello Medical in 2012, Maria has enjoyed being involved in an array of publications and market access projects. Her current role focuses on management and strategic publications planning, enabling our clients to communicate their key strategic messages to their target audiences, primarily through manuscripts and conference submissions.
She also has over five years’ experience in the market access sector and has supported the development of numerous pharmaceutical products across a wide range of disease areas including oncology, rheumatology and cardiology. Within this sector, Maria has assisted with both primary and secondary research, including advisory boards, pricing and strategy projects, market access value dossiers, systematic reviews, and budget impact models. This technical expertise allows her to understand and clearly present the value of our clients’ products through accurate and effective scientific communications.
Maria holds an upper second class honours BA and MSci in Biochemistry from the University of Cambridge, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Health Economics from the University of York. She is also currently undertaking the European Medical Writers Association Professional Development Programme.

Since joining the company as a Medical Writer in October 2012, Debbie has enjoyed leading the delivery of a range of scientific publications, including peer-reviewed manuscripts, meeting reports, congress abstracts, posters and oral presentations. Working in a dynamic and stimulating environment, she has gained considerable experience in publications management and strategic publications planning. Debbie particularly relishes working closely with clients and KOLs to ensure the delivery of publications of the highest quality.
She is a member of the European Medical Writers Association (EMWA) and is currently participating in the EMWA Professional Development Programme (EPDP), recently gaining a specialised EPDP certificate in Drug Development. She is also an active member of the Costello Medical recruitment team.
Prior to joining Costello Medical, Debbie was awarded a DPhil in Neurobiology from the University of Sussex and enjoyed an extensive academic research career in the Physiology and Pharmacology Departments at the University of Cambridge. During this period she presented her research findings at several international conferences and authored numerous research papers and review articles for leading scientific journals.

Helen joined Costello Medical following a period of post-doctoral research at the University of Cambridge investigating the cellular mechanisms of DNA replication and repair. Since coming to the company, Helen has applied her experience of scientific writing to the medical communications sector, and has overseen the development of a range of publications, including peer-reviewed manuscripts, congress abstracts and presentations, as well as having worked on medical affairs projects such as global advisory boards. She particularly enjoys applying her understanding of strategic publications planning in the pharmaceutical industry to develop and deliver communications plans to meet client objectives.
Helen holds a first class honours degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, specialising in Cell Biology, and a DPhil in Biochemistry from the University of Sussex. She has completed the European Medical Writers Association Foundation Certificate in Medical Writing and is currently participating in their Professional Development Programme to broaden and enhance her knowledge of the publication process, and enable her to further support Costello Medical’s clients.

As Scientific Design Consultant, Lisa works in close collaboration with our in-house Graphic Designers, Analyst and Publications Teams to define the creative approaches and optimise the way complex scientific ideas are presented. Lisa’s scientific background, coupled with an excellent understanding of graphic design, puts her in a unique position to coordinate the collaboration between the scientific and design project teams. She looks forward to further developing Costello Medical’s graphic design service offerings and expanding the team involved in this.
Since joining Costello Medical as an Analyst in 2012, Lisa has had the opportunity to work on numerous market access, HTA, and medical affairs projects spanning a broad range of disease areas. Alongside her project work she recently completed the Clinical Trials Postgraduate Certificate at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
Lisa originally graduated with honours in Pharmacology from the University of Bristol in June 2011. She achieved a first class dissertation for her cardiac electrophysiology research, focusing on novel small conductance calcium-activated potassium channel blockers in the prevention of atrial arrhythmia.

Michael joined Costello Medical as Company Accountant in July 2016 with the aim of further developing the finance function in order to support the ongoing growth of the business.
Having gained a degree in Law from the University of Cambridge he then spent 12 years working within an accountancy practice, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor, prior to moving into direct roles within businesses. He has experience of working with companies across a wide range of sectors and brings a broad knowledge of accounts and finance to the Costello Medical team.
Michael enjoys using his expertise to support the development of businesses and looks forward to working with the talented team at Costello Medical in further developing and growing the company.

As HR Manager, Sophie supports the global Costello Medical team and has responsibility for delivering a wide range of HR and recruitment processes, including payroll and benefits administration, the performance review process, and other internal activities such as the annual employee survey. Creating continuing learning and development opportunities for all staff is central to Costello Medical’s commitment to delivering high quality work, and Sophie helps to coordinate and plan training activities across the company.
Sophie graduated from the University of Leeds in June 2011 with an upper second class BA in Cultural Studies. She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management awarded by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and is an Associate Member of this organisation. Before joining Costello Medical, Sophie worked as a recruitment specialist for leading software company Autonomy, prior to which she pursued an internship in the HR department of the World Conservation Monitoring Centre, a global conservation charity working in collaboration with the United Nations Environment Programme.
