Amy joined Costello Medical in 2014, and immediately developed a passion for systematic reviews and evidence synthesis. She was very pleased to be a founding member of the Evidence Development Division and is committed to maintaining and developing Costello Medical’s reputation for producing the highest quality literature reviews in the industry. She particularly enjoys working in collaboration with members of other teams at Costello Medical, such as to deliver literature reviews to inform meta-analyses, economic models or health technology assessments. Her experience and interests also include reviews to inform public health policy, for publication at conferences or in peer-reviewed journals, or for internal strategic use by clients.
Alongside her regular work for clients, Amy is actively involved in Costello Medical’s Public Health and not-for-profit work, and she greatly values this opportunity to use her professional skills to support the improvement of health and healthcare globally. She has presented independent research at ISPOR, HTAi and the Public Health England conference on topics ranging from whole-genome sequencing to combat the development of antibiotic resistance, to the equity issues associated with using QALYs as a measure of health outcomes, to methodological considerations in systematic reviews on “burden of disease”.
Amy has a Master’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Cambridge, and is currently working towards a Postgraduate Certificate in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
