Over the years, we have developed strong relationships with various pharmaceutical companies to develop scientific posters for presentation at various congresses, as well as promotional materials for symposia and other events. Working closely with our in-house Publications Team, we are able to fully manage all components of the poster development process, from initial layout to the printing and shipping to various locations worldwide.
In a recent project, we were asked by one of our clients to develop over 40 posters for two concurrent international medical research congresses. Our Graphic Designers were involved throughout the process of poster development, working from content generated by our Publications Team. The first stage of this process included the design of various poster templates and the initial layout of draft text. At this stage we were also able to provide constructive guidance to the client on how best to graphically present the scientific data. Following this, each poster underwent multiple parallel review rounds to ensure our client was fully satisfied with the final deliverables. Extensive quality control checks were conducted for all posters before creating print-ready poster files. Finally, we were responsible for organising the printing process, shipping, delivery, and display of the posters at specified locations at both congresses.
One key challenge in the development of these posters was the rapid turn-around times needed to get a large number of posters ready from content approval to print. This meant that we had to manage the scheduling of numerous deadlines and ensure optimal communication between multiple stakeholders involved. All posters were delivered successfully and in advance of the print deadlines set.
We were approached by one of our clients to provide both scientific and design support for a large symposium at an international medical congress.
Whilst working collaboratively with our Medical Affairs Team on the slide presentations for the symposium, the Graphic Design Division was also responsible for the creation of a range of printed materials for the event. This included the production of invitations, posters, roller and table banners, lecterns, name cards, evaluation forms and a congress booklet. The project involved a substantial amount of logistical organisation of the printing, shipping and delivery processes for the congress overseas.
After the successful delivery of the event, we were asked to develop an iPad app based on the key topics presented at the symposium. The aim was to create an interactive digital tool for Medical Science Liaisons, to aid in their discussions with Healthcare Professionals in the field. The far-reaching international appeal of the app meant that this was rolled out to a number of affiliates worldwide.
The app, which represented a new and innovative offering for our client, was judged to have been a success and a second similar project was commissioned by the client shortly after.
