Pro Bono Projects
We are enthusiastically dedicated to the delivery of effective healthcare globally, but we recognise that commercial channels are not the only route by which this goal is being realised.
We therefore seek to devote around one tenth of our time to pro bono projects in which our knowledge can be applied to effect a real public health benefit.
If you believe that your organisation could benefit from a pro bono
collaboration with us, please contact Sophie Costello to explore
the ways in which we may be able to help.
Recently, the PHG Foundation invited us to participate in their
framework for action on birth defects programme, for which we undertook a literature review of the effects of environmental teratogens in developing countries. This research will contribute to the programme's goal of providing governments in low- and middle-income countries with tools and data to tackle birth defects in their populations.
As part of the work for the PHG Foundation, Costello Medical is a member of the Born Healthy community, a collective of international organisations who support the call for countries to act now to give children the healthiest possible start.
Details of organisational funders and supporters of the project can be found here.
